AROTUBI BRASIL
Quality Lab
To ensure products conform to the required specifications, Arotubi has created a Mechanical and Chemical testing Lab where each product receives rigorous testing. The Company Quality Management System focuses on the production line control with emphasis on the prevention of defects, non-conformity and waste reduction.
With the support of modern equipment and a specialized team, Arotubi Quality Lab performs the following analysis:
-
Analysis of mechanical properties:
The inspections are performed on products extruded from aluminium, with or without reverse drawing treatment. These products present mechanical properties in compliance with the requirements specified by the ABNT/NBR7000; 2005 International Standards and in line with our clients’ needs.
Products are evaluated to determine their mechanical properties through tests such as resistance to traction and stretching limit tests using a traction machine. The testing complies with the norm NRB 7549;2001.
Expansion test: Through a conical reamer, the tested body is submitted to a deformation test with the objective of verifying the tube’s quality. These evaluations are performed to meet the legislative requirements and our clients’ demands.
Hardness test: It determines the product deformation resistance, usually in relation to the weight applied to a penetrator with specific shape, depth or superficial area of the produced print. We are able to perform hardness testing such as: Hardness Rockell, Hardness Brinell e Hardness Vickers.
Roughness Assay: We verify, through a feeler, the degree of roughness of the surface of the tested body in compliance with norms NBR 8404/DIN, DIN – ISO/JIS.
-
Assay of chemical properties:
Residual Assay:This determines the oil content of the residuals contained in the components through the analysis of soluble and insoluble residual levels in compliance to the norms NBR 14665, NBR14666.
Assay of Humidity: This evaluates the humidity level contained inside the components through the use of Karl Fischer’s equipment and in compliance with the norms NBR 14667, NTB 80301, NTB 50010
Assay of Saline Mist and Swaat Test: Evaluation methods, which use a steam saturated atmosphere exposure, with metallic (layered or not layered) surface condensation, to determine resistency to corrosion, after exposure to saline mist in compliance with NBR 8094, NBR 14905, DIN 50021 and swaat in compliance ASTM G 85 e ASTM 1141.
